Dairy-free avocado mango smoothie

This is a very simple and tasty smoothie and also dairy free. I came up with this recipe out of sheer necessity. Avocado is the least favourite fruit of my family ( count me out!) but knowing its health benefits, I can’t resist buying it and eventually making something that the family can’t resist. Avocados are loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, fibre, healthy fats and can reduce cholesterol levels and triglycerides.

Mangoes are equally nutritious and tasty. Who doesn’t love mangoes? They are so magical that they can enhance the taste of any dish, be it a smoothie, salsa or salad. Or heavenly, when just eaten on its own.

Mango-avocado salsa is another recipe with the favourite combination of mango and avocado.

I added the green grapes to neutralize the sweetness of the mango and of course for its nutritious value. It also adds a nice shade of color to the smoothie.

For 4 glasses of smoothie, you will need

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 mango
  • a small bunch of green grapes
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg powder
  • 2 cups of water

Just chop and blend these to get a great tasting, healthy smoothie! No milk, no sugar required. And it is so filling that you won’t feel hungry for at least a couple of hours.
